Linda Allan served as a Circuit Court Judge for 20 years until her retirement in 2022. She presided over cases in the Civil, Family, Probate and Criminal Divisions. She received the John U. Byrd Distinguished Jurist Award from the Clearwater Bar Association and the William J. Castagna Award for Judicial Excellence from the Barney Masterson Inn of Court. Prior to becoming a judge, she was owner and managing partner of the law firm she first established as a sole practitioner but which grew to employ six attorneys. She was rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell. In addition to hundreds of individuals, she represented several businesses and a local college. She was entrusted to handle personal legal matters for other attorneys as well as state and Federal judges. Both as an attorney and as a judge, she has tried hundreds of jury and non-jury trials.
Linda Allan graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, summa cum laude, in 1975, and was also then inducted in the academic honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated from St. Louis University School of Law in 1978.
